Giambattista Valli Is H&M’s Latest Designer Hook Up

Couturier and master of the frothy frock, Giambattista Valli has been revealed as H&M’s designer collaborator for 2019. The Italian name joins the club that counts Moschino, Erdem, Kenzo, Balmain and Maison Margiela as alumni, and unveiled a few of the collection’s pieces where they’re most at home—the amfAR gala red carpet in Cannes.

Kendall Jenner, musician Chris Lee, H.E.R., Chiara Ferragni and model-actress Bianca Brandolini d’Adda were the first to debut Valli’s dreamy ruffles and thigh-grazing tulle, alongside singer Ross Lynch who was clad in a see-through embroidered shirt and a polka-dot suit.

Referred to as Project Love, the designer says that couture to him is like “bringing a dream into reality”, and with H&M, he is “excited to see what is going to happen with this collaboration, and all the love stories that are going to start all around the world.”

Unlike H&M’s previous tie-ups that require fans to be patient from the time news is released to when the collection actually retails, the creations you see on Valli’s squad above will be made available tomorrow, 25 May, in selected stores and online. Cancel the brunch plans and get queueing.

The full Giambattista Valli x H&M collection will be released globally on 7 November.
